Corisa Mobley-Victory, Principal Management Assistant at Smith Library, is a certified Mental Health First Aider for Youth and Adults from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Through this certification program, she is trained to recognize and provide initial support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. While this certification does not qualify individuals to diagnose conditions, it equips participants with practical tools, compassionate response techniques, and knowledge of available resources to help connect individuals with professional support when appropriate. The program also provides continuing education credits, and certification remains valid for three years.
