This event pairs the lived experiences of veterans with speakers whose scholarly, journalistic, or creative work concerns veterans’ experiences. The panel will feature Samuel Black, curator of African American Programs at the Heinz History Center; Helen Benedict, author of The Lonely Soldier: The Private War of Women Serving in Iraq; and area veterans.
